Ronin “Blade Tactics” Seminar (Day- 1 Seminar)
Primary Instructor- Tu Lam (Former Special Forces- Green Beret) with 23 yrs of operational experience.
This will be a two series course broken down into 2 days. Students can enroll in either the one-day class (Blade Tactics- DAY 1) or enroll in both days to receive training on (Blade Tactics- DAY 2)
(Blade Tactics- Day 1)
This is a 4 hr block of instruction for Beginner to Medium skill level edge weapons course. Students will be taught the effective use of a blade at extreme close range while under stress. Day 1 will cover in detail the relationship between distance and timing and how this will affect the proper employment of their weapon, basic hand to hand, footwork, lines of attack, regular and saber grip positions and attacks.
(Blade Tactics- Day 2)
This is a 4 hr block of instruction for Beginner to Medium will build on the blade tactics taught on (Blade Tactics- Day 1) This day 2 course will cover meeting and following the force, blade path and angles of attack utilizing a clock method of attack pattern, anatomy, effective blade placement and the capability and limitations of a blade. Students will be taught a reverse or pummel grip positions and attacks. All students will be taught the effective use of a blade at extreme close range while under stress.Students can either bring a training blade or one will be provided for training at the seminar.
This course will be required to move onto more advance skills classes like blade and impact weapon disarming. Students must first understand the path, angles of attack and effective distance of their weapon in order to defend against it.
