A warrior’s code that originated from the Samurai moral values, the word encompasses the code of conduct and soul of the warrior, stressing utmost loyalty to serve for a higher cause other than self. To seek perfection in everything you do and emphasizing the mastering of one’s trade. This way of conduct allowed the violent existence of the Samurai to be tempered by wisdom and serenity. This balance allowed them to live with honor onto death.
“The Blade”
Rōnin Wakizashi 脇差 (Short Swords) by Kiku. Matsuda Kiku is a world-renowned master blade maker. His work is highly requested from collectors around the world. There is normally a two year wait on Kiku’s blades.
Rōnin Wakizashi blades are made in Japan and constructed with Japanese PM OU31 steel. The shape of the blade is formed to meet the traditional art of Japanese swordsmanship (Kenjutsu 剣術). The spine thickness is ¼” which runs to the pommel of the blade. Handle is made with a textured G10 handle. There is a blood groove that runs down the spine of the blade. The lead edge has kiku’s signature Hamon line. Each blade is serial numbered and bears the symbol of a Rōnin. Each blade will also bear the symbol of the Samurai Oda Clan Symbol.
