This blade was designed by top knife maker William W. Harsey Jr. William, who is well known and respected throughout the U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Beret) community for his Special Forces Yarborough Knife design which is presented to each graduate of the Special Forces Qualification Course. William (Bill) Harsey is a personal friend and I was honored to have worked with him on this project. All Special Edition Rōnin blades will have William W. Harsey Jr. signature along with a serial number stamp on them.
In collaboration with Spartan Blades we were able to release our Spartan-Harsey Folder- Special Edition Rōnin. A little history is during my time serving as an Assaulter with the Special Forces Combatant Commanders In-extremis Forces (CIF) in Okinawa, Japan. Mark Carey and Curtis Iovito were senior CIF Snipers when I first arrived to this specialized company. They were my former teammates and personal friends to me even to this day. It was a great honor to work with Spartan Blades on the release of our Special Edition Rōnin Folders. This blade holds personal meaning to me as it symbolizes my path from the Special Forces (A-Teams) to my path now as a Ronin. This blade has much meaning and is deeply rooted into my time with the Special Forces.
The Spartan-Harsey Folder won American-Made Knife of the Year in 2016. This is a high quality blade and is well known throughout the blade and collectors world. It is with great honor that I release our limited run Spartan-Harsey Folder- Rōnin.
The Rōnin is a frame lock blade. Everything on this blade is titanium with the exception of the blade, stop pin, and pivot. This high quality folder that has a reversible pocket clip and dual thumb studs for our left handed users. Each blade will be serial numbered and stamped with its date of creation (Birth Date). All blades will have William W. Harsey Jr. signature and stamped with the Spartan crest.
