Not only is MSG Lam a great instructor, but he's a very down to earth individual who truly cares about his students. He's not in the business of making tons of money, (that's Ruthie's job ) he does this because he wants to make sure all us sheepdogs have the best training so we can keep the wolf at bay or destroy it if need be. Not only is his training top notch, but his gear is phenomenal as well. He doesn't put anything out unless it's tested and proven in real world applications. If you ever get the chance to train with him, do it, you will come away changed. Thanks Tu for pushing me to a higher level.

The service and training that Ronin Tactics provides is top notch. The owner and founder, Tu Lam is a true well rounded warrior in every sense of the word. His fitness level is top notch, his combatives level both w/ blades or unarmed is top notch, his long gun skills are top notch, as well as his CQB skills are top notch. The gear and weapons are very practical for combat, competitive shooting, and home defense. What more can you ask for when looking for the best training experience? Tu's name and reputation in SOF (both Tier 1 and Tier 2) are legit and it was an honor for me to have served with him. DOL/RLTW!

Ronin Tactics' training is some of the best if not the best training you can receive. Owner Tu Lam is top notch, upper crust when it comes to marksmanship and tactical training. I've trained with this man and I'm inspired every time. He's truly passionate about his Company, the training it provides, and everyone that is involved with his training. "I wanted to thank you for the Tactical AR class I took back on July 27th. The group class was small allowing our instructor to give virtually one on one guidance and help. The instructor Tu (still active 20 year special ops soldier), was such a humble, low key instructor who was excellent in communicating what needed to be done and correcting the inevitable mistakes we civilians made. His patience, gentle critiques and perseverance was quite a testament to his teaching skills. We immediately covered all the basic and standard safety procedures in the handling of an AR15, including loading/unloading, chamber safety, use of a 2 or 3 point sling and so on. Tu also showed me how to zero my rifle using a just purchased eoTech red dot sight that I was using for the first time. We ran through a series of exercises that built up layers of experience towards running and shooting drills. This included how to hold the rifle in various stances (I particular enjoyed the stance used for shooting under cars). Though physical conditioning is extremely important, it was really magnified when we did running exercises and you tried to keep a bouncing red dot on target cause your breathing hard. Tu was also excellent at answering what were probably basic questions about handling the weapon, aiming, finger trigger pull and so on. He also emphasized the multiple eye target acquisition techniques and though it took a while to break my bad technique, I eventually got it. So all in all, an incredible experience worth every cent (so pumped up afterwards I barely slept that evening)! I would highly recommend Mavin Tactical (in fact, I signed up to get a private lesson for my family on the AR/9mm). Enjoy!"

I have taken a multitude of different courses with different instructors. The Ronin Tactics Team is top notch and will push you to increase your abilities regardless of your skill level. Both Tu and Tom are great instructors and have clearly spent years developing and innovating their craft and have the innate ability to relay their skills to an easy to learn the curriculum. I would highly recommend that anyone wanting to take a course with Ronin Tactics, do so. You will not be disappointed.

I just attended a blade course with Ronin Tactics. The course was very well done. I was not sure what to expect going in and was very impressed. The instructor was extremely competent and easy to approach to ask questions. Everything about the course was professional. The three hour course was well planned from start to finish. The lessons built on each other. The real life stories emphasized points in the instruction. I'm still surprised how fast the three hours went. I was so impressed by the training I signed up for his next coming training course in pistol shooting. I highly recommend training with Ronin Tactics.
