Rōnin Tactics has been working with Classy Raptor Tactical to bring you this Limited-Edition high-quality Timacus back plate for the Glock pistol. These plates are deep engraved with a 50-watt fiber laser -giving it extreme detail.
Rōnin Timascus “Dragon” slide plates will fit on all standard Glockmodels (G17-G41)
Composition
Timascus™ (titanium damascus) consists of commercially pure and 6AL-4V aerospace grade titanium alloys laminated and patterned resembling steel damascus.
Process
After the back plates are CNC machined, the parts are tumbled, deburred and inspected for quality.
They are then taken to the 70 watt TYKMA Electrox fiber laser where the dragon is deep engraved. Engraving this material is an intricate and delicate process to ensure the highest quality engraving is achieved. Laser power, frequency and speed are all finely tuned to produce the best possible definition.
After engraving, each piece is hand sanded through various grits of sand paper and buffing techniques to reach the desired finish. Each piece has approximately 45 minutes of prep and finish work. Once the optimal finish is obtained, each piece is individually flame anodized with a torch. This technique produces the vibrant and various colors you see on the surface of the plates by creating an oxide layer which reflects light and achieves perceived color.
Each Timascus back plate is like a fingerprint, no two will ever be the same! These are the highest quality back plates ever produced.
