"The Battle Within"
We all have a monster in us... an ego… program… call it whatever you want. It’s our narrative of life, religion and the tribe that governs our subconscious way of thinking. The fact is 95% of your brain runs off the subconscious. From birth till 7 yrs old of a human being’s life is stored without analytical thought to the subconscious.
You see, I was born in the hour of the tiger in the year of the tiger (1974) as my mother shielded my body from incoming artillery fire (Vietnam War). At 3 yrs old, my monster lost his freedoms and was left for dead at sea for 30 days. After surviving a year and half in the refugee camps, this monster was spit on and endured racism and segregation. 27 countries, 23 yrs of service, 15 yrs of war -De oppresso liber. In my journey for peace, I tried to kill this monster. To kill off the ego -that saw the worse in the world. It was within this internal battle that now my soul sits with this monster, knowing that good, evil, Heaven and hell is all within us. Sometimes you most die to your old self -so that you may find your TRUESELF.
